Change Background on Windows 7 Starter

August 2, 2010 |  by Nick  |  No Comments  |

Did you just buy a netbook with Windows 7 and said sweet, but you didn’t realize that you can’t change the background?  Well Windows 7 Starter is very limited and it’s great for low end computers, but why can’t they just at least allow you to change the background? I do not know why.  But I know a way around it and you can change your background to what you want.

First go download Oceanis Change Background W7 and install.  Then you want to restart your computer as it said to do.

Once you log back on, you will see this as your wallpaper.  Click on the shortcut icon on the desktop to start the program.

Life Log 4/29/2010 – Tech Support at its Finest

April 29, 2010 |  by Nick  |  No Comments  |

Oh boy, what a day.

I woke up to my bladder like ready to explode and was pretty tired and been tired like all day.  I don’t think I got a really good night sleep and I think this weather has been putting a toll on everyone, I mean it’s spring, almost in May which is when the weather starts getting warmer like in the 70’s and up and that hasn’t been the case for the last few days.  Snowed for a couple days this week with like almost 10 inches where I live but today most of all of it has melted.

Tomorrow will be a good change up, it’s going to be sunny and warm like around 70 degrees.  Which will be nice and get out of this stupid winter flashback.

I haven’t felt the greatest today, just been feeling so washed out, I need to get game back on and start working out again, I hope to do this tomorrow.  I also hope to order my Fender amp and Mogami cable tomorrow as well, just hoping I have enough money because it’s going to be close, if I don’t have enough money I am just going to have to wait.

March 15, 2010 |  by Nick  |  No Comments  |

Pano Logic has announced their new technology called zero client which is an approach to desktop virtualization.  This new device is suppose to cut down on prices as well as carbon footprint, it only uses 3.5 watts, it’s 97% more efficient than a normal desktop computer.  Thin clients are very different than these new zero clients, because zero clients have no processor, no OS, no drivers, no software, no moving parts, as opposed to thin clients which have processors, memory, drivers, software, etc.

Windows 7 Whopper in Japan

October 25, 2009 |  by Nick  |  No Comments  |

windows-7-whopper_2 As most of you know that Windows 7 has been released not to long ago. (October 22nd 2009; to be exact) Microsoft has partnered up with Burger King in Japan to sell what’s called a “Windows 7 Whopper”  This Whopper has seven beef patties stacked that reaches 5 inches in height, this 1,000 calorie busting Windows 7 Whopper will cost around $8.55 for those that are welling to have immediate surgery for foolhardy enough to try eating one.

If you want to get this Windows 7 Whopper, you will have to go to Japan to get one.  This Whopper is only available for seven days only, completing this run of sevens.

Microsoft is hoping for a fresh start with Windows 7, after a poor reception for Vista, the previous version of the software that runs most on the world’s personal computers.

Microsoft has a reputation for quirky ad campaigns, most recently a strange series with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld. This particular ad may leave a bad taste in your mouth, as well. After all, the company has been criticized for releasing top-heavy, bloated operating systems. A blog on the Computerworld theorizes that “this could be one of its worst promotional ideas ever.”
