Signs, Signs and Signs

April 23, 2010 |  by Nick  |  No Comments  |

Today I took a little walk down my road, because I needed to get some different shots of things instead of stuff I been photographing in my backyard, i’m not saying it’s a bad thing or anything, but just need to try something else.  I am hoping once I get my new camera bag soon, I’ll be able to take some photo walks around town and on some trails, maybe even with some friends that are also interested in photography too.  Today was a pretty beautiful day, it wasn’t warm, wind was a little chilly but overall it was really nice.

Today, I am just sharing a few pictures of some signs I took on the way.  Tomorrow I will share a couple HDR images and I will show you how to create this HDR photos using a program called Photomatix. Enjoy.

Being a Photographer

April 21, 2010 |  by Nick  |  No Comments  |

Being a Photographer can be fun, sure.  But since I started doing a lot of photography, I hardly went on photo walks, if I do, it’s only around in my back yard.  Recently I started thinking about expanding and walking to different spots on my road and taking some photos.  But when going out in public and taking photos on the side of the road, some people may think your a tourist and though I should let what their thoughts bother me, but I do for some reason and I shouldn’t and there is only one way to get past that fear is to do it!

But in order to get my photography pushed in further, I need to take pictures else where to get different shots, shots that I never had before.  But I think today is going to be today when I make that change, because I’m going to go out and walk around a little bit and take some pictures, hopefully not to get in trouble.  Hopefully the weather will play nice today or long enough for me to take some photos.

Sony Cybershot DSC-H50

February 17, 2009 |  by Nick  |  2 Comments  |

I love this camera I got this cause I could not afford a DSLR + lens So I got this Cybershot and I love it a lot.  However the flash did fail on it and I sent it back and got it fixed and now it works perfectly.  I don’t like that there is no flash on this camera, but however, You can get a external hot shoe for this camera its about 70 bucks and it kind of works with any camera.  I haven’t tried it yet but I am going to do some more research on it and I might get it someday. When I am taking pictures out side/inside and need my lens hood on or just a tele lens.  The external flash would be handy.

Its a awesome camera and it feels tough.  I took so many photos with it, its not even funny.  If you want to check out the photos I took with the camera you can do so by going to my photography website at http://erwin-photography.com/gallery

But overall this camera is the best, better than that Panasonic camera.  People always think its the camera that makes them better, its not.  Its the photographer behind the camera and I will agree that this Cyberhsot is pretty hard to use but once you know all the settings it will become very easy and fun to use.  I totally recommend this camera.

I always see everyone else saying it sucks and what not but I had no problems with the quality of the picture almost everyone looks amazing.

Well this is my opinion on the this camera. And I love it.

Thanks for listening to my ramble.

Finally my camera works!

Well the last time I sent the camera in it worked for about a day then it stopped working again.  This time I got it back with in a week and the flash and other parts of the camera have been working very nice and its been over a few days now.  I think they have finally fixed the problem with the camera (I hope) if not I will just send the camera back and get it fixed but I think they really fixed it this time.  The camera is working great and I had no problems yet.  Its just been so long with out a camera I got to get back into taking photos more often now.

Well I just wanted to let everyone know that my camera is now working and I will be taking more pictures and hopefully you will check them out at my photography site at http://erwin-photography.com
