I recently read this article and thought it was pretty cool.

Napster on Tuesday open its MP3 download store in an effort to compete with Apple’s iTunes Store that dominates the Music Download Stores through out the Word Wide Web. Napster has launched there DRM-Free MP3 Download store which contains more than 6 million DRM-free download songs. Users can download these DRM-Free songs on to almost any MP3 Player even the iPod and iPhone.

Songs on Napster is still going to sell these songs at 99 cents a song but since its DRM-Free you can download them and copy them over and over. You can also uses these in videos and stuff. Its pretty much the same thing as Apple iTunes Plus store, but Apple is restricting the number of computers a user can have registered to play songs purchased from the iTunes Store, Many users complained about this, but Apple has not nothing about this yet.

Napster says it’s 6 Million DRM-Free song catalog features songs from all major labels, as well as thousands of Indies. Napster will still offer subscriptions to users who would rather pay the monthly fee.

Many Music Download Sites have been trying to tackle Apple’s dominance in the online music business, so Napster and Amazon have joins the list to try to take Apple. Amazon also recently Launched its MP3 store in September 2007.

Even so, Apple still manage to be the number one music retailer in the U.S. in April 2008, beating Wal-Mart, Is it because of Apples popularity?

Tell me what you think all about this.

Yes that’s right, I got to play with a awesome 1841 router today, I have some pictures (1841 Photos)

These routers are really nice, although we did not have no time to boot them up for the first time. When we do I am going to make a video of the router booting up or taking pictures. Or both :P But they are pretty small and light weight and smells great o:O

We been working on these old Cisco 2000 series which is older but it does have SDM (Security Device Manager) Its a web interface just like the one you have on your own routers at home, this provides a much more easier setup, but for school we will be using the command line interface which is harder but can be more fun! OH OH and the cables serial cables are soo much smaller than these huge bulky ones that we had before and the best think about these routers is that there is Ethernet jacks built in! hehe going to be soo much more easier.

Well I dont know what else to say, Maybe I will update this on monday

Microsoft has delayed the release to web (RTW) of Windows XP Service Pack 3 saying “In the last few days, we have uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and SP3 both Windows XP and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). In order to make sure customers have the best possible experience, we have decided to delay releasing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to the web.”

Today Microsoft finely releases more “Ultimate Extras”. Included are two new sound schemes: “Pearl” and “Glass” as well as a new content pack for DreamScene.

It was looking very bleak for the Ultimate Extras program for a while due to Microsoft’s uncertainty of the life of the program, maybe this is a sign of whats to come for the future of it. I sure am looking froward to what else they have in store for us Ultimate users (if anything).

You can pick up the new sounds here!

Well we have all been waiting for Windows 7 and you may have heard that it was going to be released in 2010 or 2011, but it’s possible Microsoft will be releasing it in 2009. Why so early? Microsoft was saying the Windows XP support timetable suggest that 2010 might coincide with the one-year anniversary of Windows 7.

But Microsoft said the truth is that it’s more than likely to be released in 2009. This is very strange because no one has a clue of what it will look like. Will it look like Vista? Or not? Microsoft and a few rumors said that Windows 7 will ship with a leaner, more efficient kernel, but a more efficient Microsoft will benefit customers even more.

Well I am doing a experiment to see how fast the snow is melting in this awesome spring weather.

I check the piece of stick I stuck in the snow this morning and the stating measurement is

  • 8 Inches and was 36f @ 7:40am on 4/7/2008 > Stating Measurement
  • 10 Inches and was 65f @ 3:17pm on 4/7/2008 > Today we lost around 2 inches which was the average
  • 12 Inches and was 58f @ 5:30pm on 4/7/2008 > Today was lost around 2 more inches so, total snow melting for 4/7/2008 was 4-5 inches average.
  • 12 inches and 1/3 and was 48f @ 9:00am on 4/8/2008 > As for it not being very warm in the morning the snow did not melt very much but only around 1/3 of an inch more of the stick sticking out.
  • 14 inches and was 64f @ 4:00pm on 4/8/2008 > So far we lost a total around 8 or so inches of snow in just a few days, at this rate snow should be gone by the weekend in lower elevations
  • 16 inches and was 53f @ 6:30pm on 4/8/2008 > well it lost another 2 more inches, its going fast..

Well the results were that almost all the snow was melting within 3-4 days.  The snow where the stick was had melting away and could no longer support the stick and feel over and the wind moved it a little.  But this is a great sign and means summer is on the way or at least i hope, Today (4/9/2008) hit almost 75 degrees in the sun, and I am not joking. it was really warm, still a cold breeze but the sun was damn warm.
