MacBook “no button” trackpads not registering clicksPosted by: Nick in Current Events, TechnologyA tip came in this weekend from someone with a fleet of new MacBooks. His complaint? Every 50 or so clicks and the trackpad freezes for 5 to 10 clicks and then wakes back up. The tipster writes: Tags: Apple, macbook, macbook pro, problems The Google doodle tradition started a long time ago (in summer 1999, in fact) when Larry and Sergey put a stick figure on the homepage to signify that they were out of the office at Burning Man. Nothing against stick figures, but our logo designs have become rather more varied since then. Today you’ll see a special design that commemorates our 10th birthday. We’ve incorporated a little bit of history by using the original Google logo from 1998. And since everyone keeps asking what we’d like for our birthday (besides cake and party hats) — the first thing we thought of was a nice new server rack.
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/ten-years-and-counting.html Well so what do you think about google turning 10 years old?, its great to me. Google is going to be with us for years and they are a great company. I would love to work for google, wouldent you? Tags: 10, birthday, google, years old

Windows Vistas had a huge amount of public build-up as with Seven, Microsoft has kept Seven pretty quite for the most part. There has been non-stop talk about Vista since 2003 till 2006, as well all know it now, Vista didn’t deliver all the Promised features during its extended development. Because of this with the widespread of negative perception, hurt both Microsoft and Windows brands. Microsoft is keeping Windows Seven quite due to this problem. Microsoft wants to deliver all the features promised in Windows 7 and Promise that it will ship everything in late 2009/early 2010. Even so, Apple still manage to be the number one music retailer in the U.S. in April 2008, beating Wal-Mart, Is it because of Apples popularity? Tell me what you think all about this. Windows Vista More Vulnerable To Malware than Windows 2000Posted by: Nick in Current Events, Technology
HP said that they will be doing this beyond XP’s deadline until July 30th, 2009. Dell also said that they are planning to do the same idea as HP but are unsure of the time. Other PC manufactures are exploring other options to sell Windows XP beyond the deadline according the CNET News.com There are limits for the PC manufacturers to have a Windows XP option, Only Windows Vista Business and Vista Ultimate will have downgrade rights. Retail stores are finding it difficult to sell windows XP as a downgrade option, because they can’t show Windows XP being installed on one of the display computers. But they can offer windows XP as a downgrade option if the customer’s requested to do so. Lenovo and other PC manufacturers are selling Windows Vista with a Windows XP recovery disk so if the customer wants to have Windows XP installed they just have to pop in the XP Recovery disk and reboot the system and install Windows XP. Lenovo said they will be selling XP beyond 2009, more than likely up till 2014 when Microsoft stops supporting XP. These are just latest ways of getting XP on retail machines. Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer has left the door open a crack for windows XP, But Steve Ballmer said “XP will hit an end-of-life” “we have announced one. If customer feedback varies, we can always wake up smarter, but right now, we have a plan for end-of-life for new XP shipments” But users still want to keep Windows XP on the market and InfoWorld is starting a petition to save Windows XP. You can visit this Partition and sign it: D Below http://weblog.infoworld.com/save-xp I should get shirts made that say “Save Windows XP, Sign the petition at InfoWorld!” And give the URL. So spread the word and maybe we could save XP for a little longer! Tags: 7, Deadline, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, Save, Vista, Windows, XP
Well we have all been waiting for Windows 7 and you may have heard that it was going to be released in 2010 or 2011, but it’s possible Microsoft will be releasing it in 2009. Why so early? Microsoft was saying the Windows XP support timetable suggest that 2010 might coincide with the one-year anniversary of Windows 7. But Microsoft said the truth is that it’s more than likely to be released in 2009. This is very strange because no one has a clue of what it will look like. Will it look like Vista? Or not? Microsoft and a few rumors said that Windows 7 will ship with a leaner, more efficient kernel, but a more efficient Microsoft will benefit customers even more. Tags: 2009, 2010, Vista, Windows 7, XPWell this will be interesting… But we are having a debate if File sharing should be legal or illegal, the problem was that I wasent there cause I was sick and I guess they chose for me :( I’m on the “Illegal”… Which I wanted to be on the Legal side cause I wanna express my feelings on what I think. There is not right or wrong side, its just some people thinks its wrong and some people don’t, frankly if theres millions of people that do that out there then its just soo hard to control, you know what I mean? Who knows what will happen today. But when I get back from school I will update this information. |

This week was the 6th annual All Things Digital, Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer was there to take questions on various things, such as, why Microsoft failed to acquire Yahoo, and Windows Vista.
I recently read this article and thought it was pretty cool.

The end of XP is just right around the corner. As of June 30th Microsoft’s most successful operating system, Windows XP will be discontinued. Both Hewlett-Packard and Dell will be selling windows XP as a downgrade option. The computers will be Vista Business and Vista Ultimate that have been factory downgraded to Windows XP at the customer’s request. When the customer buys a PC from Dell or HP it will have Windows XP but already has a Paid-For upgrade to Vista when the customer chooses to do so.
