I recently started a weight loss plan and figured what could be a good way to keep track of your weight loss. I searched for websites that are based around this and while there are many of these sites, I decided to try Traineo, which helps you keep track of your weight lost as well as motivated. I enjoyed the site so much ,I decided to do a review.
Traineo is a free server, they do, however, have a paid version called “Plus” for $9.99/month and a “1to1” version for $49.99/month.
The Design of the website is very easy to navigate, makes life so much more easier which stuff is simple and easy to use. I have used a few sites like these in the past before that were so confusing to use. Well Traineo wasn’t one of those sites.
The design is just flawless, you have your navigating buttons near the top on the blue bar and the white large buttons above that for social media, Traineo store, their blog and the logout button. Below all of that you see the 5 tabs for which the first one is like your progress chart, the next ones are for weight, activity food and custom logs, which we will get to a little bit later.
On the right of the website, you have your goal on how much weight you want to lose, in my case it’s 60 pound and they put that in big bright red so it will remind you to keep pushing your self to make that number go down and down. Below that is your goal and by when you want to make this goal. Under that are additional information that requires a paid account.
You can update your status, almost like twitter. In fact, you can have your Traineo account connected with Twitter so when you do update your status on Traineo, like “So happy, I just lost 10 more pounds” and it will post on twitter and show on your Traineo profile page. I just really like that this site integrates social media, it’s so cool.
So this is your weight tab, here is where you update your weight and you can check your current BMI and your previous weight.

This is your Activity tab, here is where you can update your activates you did, such as running on the treadmill or playing the Wii. You can chose the duration of the activity and the intensity. Below is the graph and you can see the progress that you do.

This is your Food tab and here you can do simple tracking per day, like how much calories you ate that day and if you eat good or ate bad. Below is the graph to see your progress.
This is your Logs tab, here you can add custom entries for almost anything. I have needed to use it yet, but you never know. But it is nice to have some custom ability.
This is your profile page, this is what people see. They can view your progress and your progress photos as well add comments to either comment, or motivate you.
Now I just had to show this, You can use twitter to update your weight! Very cool!
This screen is under your “Tools” menu, here is where you just update your goal weight and the achievement date.
This is one of my favorite pages of this website, The community! The people are very nice here and you get lots of responses to your question or topic. I been asking a lot of questions because I am still very new to this weight loss thing and the people at Traineo are really great people to ask and they will help you with out a doubt. If you sign up for a Traineo account, I HIGHLY recommend being very active in the community. They make you feel so much better and your not alone.
This is for you website/blog owners, if you own a website or a blog, Traineo makes these widgets you can add to your website or blog. I been meaning to add one of these to this blog as well. Look for it soon! Very cool!
All in all, Traineo is the best weight loss tracking website I have ever used and it defiantly got me more motivated, and you should give it a try if you are looking into losing weight in the 21st century. Check em’ out. Also follow Traineo on Twitter @traineo
