Firefox Addons I Use

January 5, 2009 |  by Nick  |

Firefox 3 is only what I use for a web browser.  Its Safe, Fast, Options, and Can add almost any kind of plugin/addon there is.  I totally recommend it. Make sure you go download yours today.  I wanted to share the addons I use with Firefox.  Below are 5 addons that I use and are a must! If you haven’t already please download the latest version of Firefox, It will make a difference!

Adblock Plus 1.0

I totally love this addon! Do you get sick of those stupid ads on any website, especially the ones that flash and click here to win a laptop or something? I get sick of those all the time as well!  So I heard about Adblock Plus a few years ago and I have been using it ever since.  If theirs a ad that Adblock plus don’t have in the updated subscription, you can just right clock on the ad and choose " Adblock Image" and that image will not longer be displayed ever again, Unless they change the ad then you will have to add the ad to the adblock filter.  But this had made my life so much more easier!  Thanks to AdBlock Plus!

Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic

Getting Sick of taking a screenshot of a web page and then going to paint and cropping out what you don’t need?  Well with Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic lets you take a screen shot of the whole web page and that sit,  No windows task bar or Firefox browser in the way, just the webpage from top to bottom, you can also have it take a screen shot specific area of the website.  This is very handy and I use it a lot, when you take a picture of the website you hear a camera “cha ching” and it saves it to your desktop in a .PNG or .JPG format.  There are also a free version (basic) and a pro version ($15).  If your taking a ton of Screenshots of website, I just suggest to get the pro version cause then you can upload it directly to a FTP server, So It can save some time.  Other than that the Basic version is perfect!  Its an awesome Addon!

Speed Dial

I saw this a few months ago I really liked it.  All what it is had a homepage to your Firefox but, its not no ordinary homepage,  its a addon that you can add direct access to web pages.  Theirs not a whole lot to talk about this one besides its really handy for the sites you visit a lot.  You can type the number of the bookmark in the address bar and it will go to the website or you can hold Shift and type in the number of the site you want to go to and it will come up with a really cool transparent window, kind of like windows Alt-Tab thing.  I find it really neat.  Alright So I don’t know what else to say beside this is a rocking addon and you should get it!

TwitterBar

Do you like to twit a lot on Twitter?  I do and this is really handy, all you do is type in what you are going to say on Twitter in the address bar and click the green button to submit and it will    come up with the FireFox user name and password dialog box and all you do is enter your twitter user name and password and then bam it posts to on your twitter page.  Its really handy   and you don’t even have to go to twitter to update your status or what ever you are doing.  I totally suggest it if you use Twitter a lot!
