bhllogo Have you ever wanted to make your own ID badges?  I did.  I wanted to make a photographer badge for when I’m at events, such as car shows, which is one of the events I attend a lot.  Though I don’t work for no photography company, but I work for my self.  So I thought it may be kind of neat to have my own ID badge that identifies me as a photographer/blogger.

So I started looking for online ID badge makers and I found the perfect one from Big HUGE Labs called Badge Maker. You can make your own Photo Badge, Name Badge, Flickr Badge.  All of these badges can either be landscape, or vertical. The best is, It’s Free!

traineologo I recently started a weight loss plan and figured what could be a good way to keep track of your weight loss.  I searched for websites that are based around this and while there are many of these sites, I decided to try Traineo, which helps you keep track of your weight lost as well as motivated.  I enjoyed the site so much ,I decided to do a review.

Traineo is a free server, they do, however, have a paid version called “Plus” for $9.99/month and a “1to1” version for $49.99/month.

opticon Last year, but not too long ago I bought a barcode scanner, it was the Opticon OPN-2001 Barcode Scanner for scanning all of my dvds/blu-rays (around 900) into a computer database program, Which is called Collectorz Movie Collector, Which by the way I want to write a review on this piece of software. Anyways, Back to the scanner, I bought this scanner from Gemini Computers, Inc for $110 which was a lot less than Collectorz selling it for ($140).

firefox So, you have Firefox 3.6 installed? (which is the latest version of Firefox at the time of writing this post) Firefox has a lot of under the hood improvements, it’s much more faster than what Firefox 3.5 was. It’s even more stable as well, If you haven’t already go and update Firefox to the latest version please!

If your like me, I like style.  I have no complaints of the original Firefox 3.6 theme, it’s a really wonderful theme.  You been looking at ton of themes and just couldn’t find the right one that you really like, right? I been there before, trust me, I have. You know what?  I gave up looking for themes, instead this morning I watched a CNet How To video and they were talking about how to make Firefox 3.6 to look like Firefox 4.0, from the future.  I decided to share the video and make a step by step instruction, with links to these downloads and what to configure.  This will make your Firefox look really amazing!

knowemlogo A few months ago, I wrote a post about Usernames being taken. I did forget to mention Knowem? Which is really an amazing user name check, they check over 350 sites.  So Instead of added it to the old post, I decided to create a small review.

The first thing you see when you visit the site is the incredible easy and simple design that makes searching for your usernames a snap.  They have over ten categories for checking your username, such as: microblogging, blogging, bookmarking, music, photos, etc.  This is really awesome for checking to see if your username is taken from any of these websites.

loseweight This morning I decided to weigh my self just because I was curious.  When they scale figured out how much I weight, I was like oh wow.  I didn’t like the results, so I started looking for an online site/community that helps keep track and motivated on losing weight.  I found a website called Traineo, it’s a fairly large community with a bunch of people wanting to do the same thing.  It’s also a really great way to help you keep track of your weight loss, you can set your goal, enter what you did for your work out, what you ate, etc.  It will ask you for daily weigh in to tell you how much you have lost/gain.

urlshort You may be seeing a lot of URL Shortening Services, such as bit.ly or Tinyurl.  These are some of the most popular used ones and there are plenty of others out there as well.  Typically these are used a lot on Twitter which is a mirco blogging service that only allows 140 characters and sometimes you want to send a link and they can get pretty long and take up all the space.  To fix that users created URL shortening services that shrink the URL to show something like this: http://bit.ly/bXdt564 instead of something like http://domainname.com/year/2010/month/january/day/12/url-shortening-services – you get the point.
